As a holistic bodywork practitioner, it is important to me that I have an understanding of you and your body's story before I actually begin working with your body. Therefore, I ask that all clients book a 90-Minute New Client Session for their first session with me. In this initial session, we will spend roughly 10-15 minutes reviewing relevant aspects of your health history and discussing your goals for receiving bodywork. This conversation will set a critical foundation for our therapeutic relationship. You will then receive about 70 minutes of bodywork, and we will have 5-10 minutes to debrief and answer any questions you may have at the end of the session.
After doing a 90-Minute New Client Session, returning clients have the option to book either 90-Minute Returning Client Sessions or 75-Minute Returning Client Sessions.
In 75-Minute Returning Client Sessions, clients will receive about 60 minutes of bodywork, leaving us 5-10 minutes to check in at the beginning of the session and 5-10 debrief at the end. In 90-Minute Returning Client Sessions, clients will receive about 75 minutes of bodywork, leaving us 5-10 minutes to check in at the beginning of the session and 5-10 minutes to debrief at the end.
I use Craniosacral Therapy in most sessions because it is very powerful and provides most clients with the exact form of support they're seeking. Craniosacral Therapy is both a fascial modality and an energetic modality, and I will accentuate the energetic or the fascial aspect of the work as needed to help clients achieve the outcomes they desire. For clients that are more interested in energy work, I offer sessions where I use energy healing and energy medicine techniques only. This work is very easy on the body, and it's a wonderful approach for someone who is recovering from a surgery or healing an acute injury. We will discuss an approach that fits your needs/preferences at the beginning of the session before you get on the table.
If you would like to gift a session to a friend or loved one, pleasat to let me know. I will send you a payment link so you can cover the payment for their session.
After booking your first 90-Minute New Client Session, please budget about 10 minutes to complete your physical/mental health intake form and review and sign the policy and consent forms you received in your session confirmation email. Please submit these forms at least 24 hours before your session so I will have enough time to review your health history and bodywork goals before you arrive.
In the days leading up to your session, I strongly encourage you to read about the therapeutic modalities I use in my practice so you can better understand the different approaches I use, how they work, and how they can benefit you.
In the hours or minutes before your session (perhaps on your drive over), I would invite you to check in with yourself by asking questions such as: What sensations (e.g., pain, tension, constriction, numbness, etc.) have you been noticing in your body recently? What kind of thoughts have been running through your head, and what emotions are present inside of you? Are there any areas in your life where you're currently feeling stuck or blocked? By tuning in and gathering data on these various aspects of yourself, you will come to your session with greater clarity on what it is that you would like to get out of our time together.
All of my sessions are done fully clothed, so please avoid wearing any delicate clothing or a dress/skirt.There is no need to wear comfortable/stretchy exercise clothing. Jeans are fine.
This is a great question, and the short answer is: it depends! During your first session when we review your physical/mental health history and bodywork goals, we will discuss this and determine a treatment cadence that feels both supportive and realistic for you.
Clients working through an acute or chronic condition can benefit greatly from starting with a few sessions within a short period of time (e.g., weekly sessions for one month or bi-monthly sessions for two months). Then, as they begin to notice positive shifts in their physical body and/or mental and emotional state, we will reduce the frequency of their sessions and see how they respond. My clients and I are always in an ongoing discussion to continually customize and adapt their treatment plan so it serves them best.
The truth is everyone stands to benefit from receiving regular holistic bodywork. Our bodies are incredibly resilient and they are constantly working to move us in the direction of health and well-being. That said, in this fast paced, modern world we live in, most bodies are under some degree of stress — and stress limits the body’s innate capacity for self-healing. Holistic bodywork provides critical support to the body’s physical and energetic systems that facilitate self-healing.
The benefits of bodywork are compounding. That means that when a client commits to receiving bodywork on a somewhat regular basis, they are likely to experience positive shifts — or even dramatic breakthroughs — at the physical, emotional, mental, and/or spiritual level. I invite you to consider making bodywork one of your self care or wellness priorities, and then watch as a healthier and more integrated version of yourself begins to emerge.
My practice is based in my home, which is nestled in the woods of West Nashville right across the street from Percy Warner Park. When clients book a session with me, they will receive a confirmation email with my exact address.
My session rates are as follows: 90-Minute New Client Sessions are $195; 90-Minute Returning Client Sessions are $175; and 75-Minute Returning Client Sessions are $150. My rates reflect what I consider to be the true value of my time, training, skills, and experience, and for this reason, I do not ask for or expect clients to tip me. I accept payment for sessions via credit card, Venmo, or check.
Clients that cancel up to 24 hours before their session will not be charged a cancellation fee. Clients that cancel within 24 hours of their session will be charged 50% of their session cost. Clients who do not cancel and do not show up for their session will be charged 100% of their session cost.
As a holistic bodywork therapist, the work I do facilitates deep healing and transformation within my clients at the physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual level. The modalities I use regulate the nervous system, restore balance to the body's physical and energetic systems, and promote health so my clients can experience more ease, vitality, peace, joy, and contentment in their lives.
